enactment::interchange – an interactive dance theater (2017)

Eastern aesthetics focuses, among other things, on a kind of “sense” – which could be called communication without language, which is not open to intellectual analysis, and therefore should rather be called a “resonance space”. Music and movement can express this phenomenon simply and perfectly. Both are always in a fluid dynamic. They emerge, change and merge in different temporal and spatial processes. 

Interactive electronics and video, modern and old traditional acoustic instruments, gestures as well as light and language are combined in this performance. 

Ensemble Soie consists of musicians from four countries as well as dancers from China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Brazil and Germany, who will perform in different configurations during the performance.
